Brainpop has been useful for my kids. The lessons are good, the videos keep them interested, all that. Most days it works totally fine. Then randomly… it’ll slow down, or a video freezes halfway through. Sometimes even logging in is a whole thing for no reason. It’s not bad, honestly. Just a little inconsistent. I wish the site was smoother because the actual content is great.

The videos are good and I did learn from them, but I felt like I had to put in a lot of extra effort on my own to really understand everything. It would be much better if there were more learner support options, especially for people who need a bit more guidance along the way

I can usually tell quickly when something is going to click with my class, and brainpop just felt like one of those tools right away. My students are way more interested during lessons now, even the ones who normally zone out. It’s been really nice seeing them actually want to learn.

Yeah, it costs a bit, which is annoying because everything school-related seems to add up fast. But we do use it regularly, so I can’t really complain too much. At least this is one of the things we’re actually getting our money’s worth from...

I do like using the site overall, but I got a little worried when support took a few days to reply to my billing question. They did eventually get back to me and fix the issue, which was reassuring, but it would’ve been nice to hear something sooner just so I knew it was being looked at.

The lessons were actually good, which makes this even more frustrating. Canceling was way harder than it should’ve been. I thought I had taken care of it, but then I got charged again anyway. Support eventually responded, but it took way too long. Just a heads up to save your time: if you sign up, keep a close eye on billing and don’t assume cancellation went through

Brainpop is, like, okay overall, but the lessons feel a bit limited to me. I don’t know, it just seems like they end up covering the same kinds of topics over and over, so after a while it gets kind of repetitive.

Lately, I can barely stay logged in without getting kicked out again. It’s really frustrating because I need to access my account, but it feels like I’m trapped in this loop where the app just won’t let me in reliably.

The captions worked fine for me, which I appreciated, but trying to get around with just the keyboard was still frustrating in spots. I even checked the follow-up email/receipt afterward to make sure I hadn’t missed any accessibility info, but it feels like this part still needs some work.

I use BrainPOP with my kids, and the language options help a lot. Having some videos and quizzes in Spanish makes things much easier for my youngest.

The translation tools are easy to find too. Not perfect every time, but close enough, and it saves me a ton of explaining.

I’ve been using BrainPOP here and there with my kid, the free content has been solid. Some of it is surprisingly helpful, especially when I just need a quick video to explain something without turning it into a whole lesson. That said, yeah, it’s kind of irritating when you click around and realize a bunch of things are locked unless you subscribe, but I mean, they’ve got to make money somehow, I guess.
The videos we can access are short, clear, and my kid actually pays attention, which is not always easy. It’s a very effective educational resource in that sense. Also, I wish they’d stop teasing us with all the locked stuff because now my kid wants to watch those too. Still, for something free, it’s definitely worth using, even if I’d love a bit more unlocked content

The part that bugs me is the curriculum alignment. Some lessons are marked as matching certain standards, but when I actually look through the quiz or activity, it doesn’t always feel like it fully covers what I’m supposed to be teaching.

It’s still useful, just not as plug-and-play as I hoped. I end up spending extra time double-checking everything, which is frustrating for the price. Anyway

Some topics are a bit quick, like you’re not getting a super deep dive or anything, but for the basics, and just keeping things fresh, it works well. We’ll use it before tests sometimes, and yeah, I do think it helps.
